Copper Rod

Because Storm maintains a million-pounds of copper inventory, copper rod orders usually ship the next business day. Storm's Copper Rods also ship FREE via UPS or USPS ground. , excluding lengths of copper rod over 96" that are required to ship via common carrier.

 

Storm's copper rod is manufactured to the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) B 187, B 152 and B 283-09 specification standards for copper and copper alloy.

Storm Copper sells round copper rod in C11000 and C14500 alloys, and square rod only as C11000 with the following properties:

Storm stocks round and square copper rod in standard lengths with custom cuts available to specific lengths.
 
Copper Alloy C11000 round rod has a minimum of 99.9% pure copper with excellent electrical conductivity and is easy to form and work. Ideal for use in electrical applications such as bus bars, connectors and gaskets, C11000 copper rod cannot be heat treated and is not recommended for machining.

Copper Alloy C14500 is also known as Tellurium Copper, has excellent machine-ability with good conductivity, formability and corrosion resistance. It is the alloy of choice for high-speed screw machine applications. It cannot be heat treated or spot welded.
